Julio de los Reyes delos was born in 1937 in Andalousia, southern Spain, and lived for many years in the USA and Mexico. He was first a professional flamenco guitarist and started painting in the late sixties, for a short time under the guidance of Raymond Breinin, from the National Academy of Arts in New York. At present, after living for a while in Málaga, just a few blocks from where the first part of his life took place, he is working and residing in Magnolia, north of Houston. His paintings are found in private collections in different countries, particularly Mexico, USA, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Germany, as well as in museums, such as Le Musée du Nouveau Monde in La Rochelle, France, and the Museo de Bellas Artes in Torremolinos, Malaga, Spain
